Director
Penny is a highly skilled communications and brand strategist who has worked with some of Australia’s leading health, research, rural R&D, and education brands. She has extensive campaign, brand reputation, communication and stakeholder engagement experience and a deep commitment to building communities.
Tim Claeys

Coretext director Tim Claeys is an award-winning designer and internationally recognised illustrator. Tim's intuitive visual design gives Coretext media solutions and print publications a visual edge. Tim has designed more than 80 leading corporate publications: all confident, visually appealing, efficient, innovative and ultimately of end-user benefit.
Brad Collis

Thea Cowie
Communications Manager
Thea is a digital communications and marketing specialist focused on helping clients meet their objectives while building engaged audiences. She has worked with health and research organisations, professional associations, universities and ASX 100 companies. Christine Fotis-Waldon
Production Manager
Christine has worked in the publishing industry for over twenty years, in both production and editorial. Before starting at Coretext, she worked in the educational publishing field. As
well as expertly managing production workflows, resources and schedules, Christine performs a wide range of tasks including uploading web content for clients and typesetting.
Tiffany Paczek
Production Editor
Tiffany is an editor, subeditor and writer with a background in the magazine publishing industry. She has been the editor of a print magazine, an online content editor and has written for several different publications. Lauren Mckinnon
Digital Designer
Lauren is an experienced production coordinator and a talented designer. Before joining the Coretext team Lauren worked as the production coordinator and designer for Jeweller magazine. Lauren creates effective design solutions for all channels and is adept at managing multiple projects and timelines, ensuring processes run smoothly from start to finish.
Catherine Norwood
Content creator/editor
As part of the Coretext team for more than a decade, Catherine coordinates projects for our diverse clients, also editing and writing across agriculture, science and environmental topics. Nicole Baxter

Nicole is an award-winning writer, photographer and editor, with more than 25 years of experience. She excels at shining a light on the innovations of farmers, agronomists and scientists working in the grains industry. Her photos and videos on social media draw a regular audience. Nicole is Wagga Wagga-based and hails from a mixed farm near Old Junee in southern NSW.

Rebecca Thyer
Chief of staff
Rebecca has been part of the Coretext team as a writer and editor for almost 15 years, initially in Melbourne and now based in sunny Brisbane. She writes for all of our publications, with a particular interest in the Australian grains industry as editor of the GRDC’s GroundCover™ magazine. In addition to this national oversight role, Rebecca is also the magazine’s northern region correspondent covering the industry in Queensland and NSW.

Coretext is a perfect fit for Melissa whose ceaseless curiosity fuels her story-telling across all our publications. Gio Braidotti

At Coretext, Gio combines a love of science, writing and research-based innovation to help clients in the RD&E sector build rapport with stakeholders and the public. She contributes articles to recurring client magazines, but additionally works with clients to deliver specialised communication tools addressing topical subjects. Larry Labradoodle
Director Meeting and Greeting
Larry Labradoodle is Coretext’s much loved Director for Meeting and Greeting. As a key member of the human resources team, he is responsible also for taking staff for walks, and being available whenever there’s need for a calming pat and cuddle.
Evan Collis
Subcontractor, Photographer
Evan has been GroundCover™’s Western region photographer since 2004. He is recognised as one of Australia’s leading corporate photographers. Evan’s clients include Wesfarmers, Rio Tinto Copper, Rio Tinto Diamonds, BHP Billiton, and others. Evan comes from an editorial background working for major Australian and international news organisations. His preference is rural photography, which provides the opportunity for him to engage with growers and agricultural industries.
Aidan Gifkins
Graphic artist
Aidan has worked with Coretext since 2006, initially as an employee and currently as a contractor. He is an accomplished graphic artist with experience in both print and on-line media spanning many years. With an eye for detail, he creates most of the infographics, graphs and long-form documents for Coretext’s clients and provides a further level of expertise to the Coretext production team. Aidan is also the administrator of the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Image Library.
